THE ISSUE OF LAUGHING GAS

Watching the news and suddenly I am gripped by a story about laughing gas?  I mean whatever next?  Going to your local shop and being able to buy this stuff is unbelievable.  It should only be sold by Pharmacies with a license or prescription!  Laughing gas causes serious disablement.  Some people have actually ended up in a wheelchair because of laughing gas. It is a chemical that dentists can use.  So now we have people addicted to laughing gas.  

There is a better cure for depression and that is God's holy spirit. When the glory of God enters a room it can manifest in holy laughter upon the congregation.  So I suggest you all get yourself to a  church and pray for holy laughter as it will bring deliverance from addictions and demonic influences. You need to get drunk in the Holy Spirit. God's orders.   You can even pray at home. God will meet you where you are.  It will revive, heal and revolutionize your life and you.  It says in the book of Ephesians that as Christians we are to be filled with the Holy Spirit not laughing gas.  I am even laughing writing this.  Laughing without laughing gas!  Amen.   I have the Holy Spirit. He makes me laugh.  Although it may look like laughing gas it is not.  It is the gift of supernatural holy laughter.  The apostle Paul tells us:

And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, (Ephesians 5:18, ESV)

What are the benefits of holy laughter?   Here is a  list of  some of the benefits of laughter:

Therefore, it is good to laugh because it is good for your health and frees you from anxiety.  It reduces stress.  You can forget your cares and leave them in God's. hands. God will also help you laugh at yourself. He will enable you to laugh at your situation. Even laugh at your enemies.   It brings deliverance from demonic oppression. In the book of Proverbs, it also tells us that a 'cheerful heart' is good medicine. 

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. (Proverbs 17:22, NIV). 

Laughter is a gift from God. Laughter is a great way to stay encouraged. It gives you the strength to cope with life's challenges.  It will strengthen your bones and ultimately your walk with God. 

Another example of holy laughter in the bible is when the disciples were baptized in the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues.  People were amazed but those who were mocking thought they were drunk on wine.

But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.” (Acts 2:13, ESV).

They looked drunk in other words.  I have experienced this laughter often in my Christian walk. II is important to laugh as we are surrounded by the negativity in this world that almost makes it impossible to laugh.   But God 'who sits in the heavens laughs' (Psalm 2:4 ESV). Therefore. we can laugh with him. You can laugh at adversity. You can even laugh at your problems and those problems will be resolved. 

There is also the laugh of faith.  The name 'Isaac' also means laughter. Isaac was the promised son of Abraham and Sarah in their old age.  It is faith in the impossible.  God can defy the laws of nature and do miracles. He can do the impossible in your life too. Consequently, it will make you laugh! 

I conclude laughter is a gift from the Holy Spirit. A much need medicine today.  So, believe and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.  Call on Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour if you do not know him yet.

He is our Physician. Dr. Jesus! 
You will drink the wine of joy.  The joy of your salvation.  He turns your water into wine!  His provision of more is freely available when the wine of joy has run out. 
Lord turn my water (the mundane of my life) into wine today.  The joy of the Lord is my strength.
