HOW TO STAY POWERFUL

You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 

(Matthew 5:27-28, NLT)

The Bible tells us that adultery is the path of ruin and destruction.   Divorce is a curse and brings death both physically and spiritually. The toxic fruit of Satan must drop off. God destroys evil. This blatant sexual sin is an open door for the devil to come in and destroy you. It is the evil, pernicious Jezebel spirit at work. Keep the door closed on the devil. Say no to sexual temptation.  Breaking a covenant with God and being unfaithful to your spouse is one way to lose your power and authority in Christ. Or you may end up in hell if you do not repent of your sin.  Proverbs also tells us that their soul will come to ruin:

But the man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys himself.
33 He will be wounded and disgraced. His shame will never be erased (Proverbs 6:32-33, NLT).

Covenant marriage only with the spouse, he chose and gave.  It is God's way.  Adultery towards God is unfaithfulness and treachery against the wife God gave, not to mention an affront to his loving-kindness.  It is displeasing to God.  In fact, the bible emphatically says, that God hates divorce.  IT IS AN EVIL SPIRIT.  This is what God says about it:

For I hate divorce!” says the LORD, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.  (Malachi 2:16, NLT)  

Stay off this path of adultery and prosper in the Lord.  Sexual sin is the dirty, devious way the devil seeks to get in to destroy you. Be of a sound mind and listen to God's voice, not Satan's voice. The Spirit of the Lord will keep you on the right path with the right woman. So don't be a fool.  Be wise in God.

Without Christ, you are on the path of destruction.  The road to ruin. The road to perdition. So if you do not turn back to God you will be ruined.  And lost in the darkness. It is better to be a fool for Christ.  Paul warns in his first letter to the Corinthians that the message of the cross is an absurdity to those on their way to perdition:

For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18, AMPC).

I was listening to a documentary on the life of Maria Woodworth-Etter recently who was that great-grandmother of revival in the 1900s.  She was completely surrendered to God. Trusted in the Almighty God and obeyed his call.  She learned to live under the protection of the shadow of his wings in prayer. What a powerhouse she was, who helped birth the Pentecostal movement.  She brought power and healing, salvation, and deliverance to thousands through her loving kindness.  Signs and wonders followed in revival meetings.  But guess what? Her life was not without suffering.  Her husband at the time, Mr. Woodworth, committed adultery in one of her revival meetings and with two different women. Well, then he left her and divorced her.  The marriage was dissolved because of his adultery.  By the way, only God can dissolve a marriage, a holy joining that God protects. That is covenant marriage.   In this case, he never repented.  They got divorced and he was dead within a year.  Sobering!  Mr. Woodworth died of Tuberculosis.  He did not die because God killed him.  No, he died because he opened the door to the devil through his sin of adultery and then divorce.  Divorce is a curse. It brings death.   It is violent and cruel. 

All 33 years of my being a Christian, having encountered God's holy presence at 25 when I gave my life to Jesus, if there is one thing God has impressed on my heart it, is this, that you shall not commit adultery. Pornography is an offense to God. Bad sex can destroy you. Not to mention destroy your sanity. You could even get killed. Stay on the narrow path with the Lord and be fruitful. Stay safe  The other path is a spiritual wasteland.  I saw it in a vision. Obey God, not man.  Do not fear men no matter how they intimidate you. Stay pure.   Maria Woodworth-Etter was not afraid of man. On the contrary, she brought the fear of God into her meetings.  The severity of God and the kindness of God in action.  In one particular revival meeting, thugs and hoodlums as she called them, turned up and were causing trouble and threatening the meeting and the team. Maria Woodworth-Etter said with such faith and confidence and authority in the Lord, that if you touch any of my team God will strike you down! Woohoo. The fear of God came upon them through the Holy Spirit and they did not dare touch them. Miracles happened in the meeting.  We need the fear of God and the grace working together.

Now the devil will keep knocking and try to derail you off the narrow path of life but you must flee from sexual immorality. That is why God says to get married.  God is holy.  He says to be holy as I am holy.  The Holy Spirit empowers us to withstand these demonic attacks and temptations.  If Jesus needed to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit then so do we. Get filled.

Remember you are the Lord's anointed.  He has anointed you with his spirit.  

"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,

 because the Lord has anointed me

to proclaim good news to the poor" 

(Isaiah 61:1).

I am called to preach the gospel to nations.  Preach I must.  The Lion must roar. One of the ways is writing.  God has given me a writing gift. I am writing a book.  But watch out, you have a jealous enemy (the devil) who works through people and who wants to hijack your ministry, and your writing, and sabotage your joy, and your relationships, marriage, your financial blessings and bring hurt and pain and even sickness, if he can into your life.  But you are more than a conqueror in Christ.  You are the apple of God's eye. Remember that.

Face it.  Some people just can't handle being around you. Your spirit irritates their demons.  

Just keep walking with Jesus and defy the devil. He can't stop a woman who gets her confidence from the Lord. 

You are an unstoppable girl. The trials you are facing and have faced have made you invincible.  God's Terminator. Go, God's girl. Go into the enemy's camp and take back what the devil stole. Totally annihilate evil.  Go with that divine order for recovery. Be persistent in prayer like Maria Woodworth-Etter until that brick wall in the spirit trying to block you comes crashing down.  Amen 🙏
